What kind of persons are the Piarists?

is possible to become an eductaor or a priest in the service of youth without becoming a Piarist. People know this very clearly. To become a Piarist is, before anything else, a life-long project in the style of Jesus and with Calasanz as a reference.

As was the case with Jesus and Calasanz, Piarists have as their first objective to live the experience of God - Father and Love. From this attitude are derived the three vows professed by all religious:

Poverty - lieration from power, prestige, human "logic" and strength...in order to share with the youth everything they are   and have.

Obedience - liberation from egoistic vision and confrontations, in order to live and work fraternally.

Chastity - allowance for the possibility of giving themselves to a real intimacy, more than with any wife and children, as witnesses of the future reality.

Unlike most other religious, Piarists profess a fourth religious vow, one of concrete service: education of children and youth, and in a special way the poor.
